Routine, routine, routine... the kids are already starting to pick up on the classroom routine. Keep encouraging their good behavior and listening 😊

Our Jesus stories have been Jesus Blessed the Children and God Creating the World and People. We've talked about how God created each of us special and loves each of us no matter what!

Our Memory Treasure this week is "it was very good". We practice these a lot every week to lock them in our hearts and earn stickers 😉

We're working on a variety of animal movements for our Movement this week.

For Art, we will be using playdough.

Preschool: We've begun our first names and building them with letter magnets. We're also learning the letter Oo and number 0. We're playing a cube tower number game also.

Kindergarten: "Real math and reading" have begun. In Math we have been learning "left/right" sides, same/ similar/ different, and we're sorting. In Reading we've been working on naming and sounding the vowels. We will meet our first superkid too!

Thank you for the great first weeks!

In 2nd grade Math we related addition to subtraction, practiced our subtraction facts, and made a ten to solve addition problems. In Reading class, we are reading nonfiction magazine articles. Next week we will start our Superkids Books!

In 3rd grade Math we used the Commutative Property of Multiplication, used number lines, and bar models to write multiplication equations. In Reading we started reading the novel “How to Be Cool in the Third Grade” by Betsy Duffey.

In Religion we learned that God sent his Son to earth to be the Savior and God gives us joy through Jesus the Savior. We also heard that Simeon and Anna were filled with joy because they knew God sent the promised Savior.
