Traffic cones will be out to indicate route to pick up the flowers at the main entrance of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Please enter the parking lot on the SOUTH side.
Flowers will have the family name on them as well as the buyer's name. You will then have to coordinate with the buyer to drop off their flowers.
Thank you, families, for all your help with this fundraiser!!!

Please begin memorizing right away.
DRIVE DAY
Our first Drive Day is coming up on Friday, September 23rd. There is no bussing on this day as the public schools have a professional development day. Children will need rides to and from school. We have several of these throughout the school year so please plan accordingly.
If before or after school care is needed (Latchkey) please let us know as soon as possible so we can schedule enough caregivers.
CHURCH SINGING
Our first scheduled singing in church is October 2nd at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Please be there by 9:45, the service begins at 10:00.
This is not mandatory, but all children are encouraged to attend so we have enough voices. If you need to leave after singing that is fine as well.
Mrs. Eckstrand’s Room
This week our Jesus story is "The Sneaky Snake". We learned about Adam and Eve listening to the devil as a snake and sinning. We also learned that we all sin, and Jesus died on the cross to wash away all of our sin. Our memory treasure is "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son" John 3:16. See if your child can share it with you 😊
In Movement, we are working on our running form and controlling our jumping, getting stronger and controlling our bodies to get higher.
In Art we are making Salvation Mobile's.
Preschool: Our letter this week is Qq for Quail, Quill, Quilt and Queen. Our number is 2 "around and back on the 2,2 track" Our Alphabet song is the "Jesus Alphabet".
Kindergarten: In Math, we were sorting and matching and took our first test, easy!
In Reading we met Cass, our first superkid. We will be doing activities in our books with each superkid. Cass likes Cooking and her Cat Coconut.
We will have an MLC clinical student in our room every Thursday. Miss Cabeza is a junior at MLC and will be getting classroom training in our classroom.
Mrs. Utsch’s Room
In 1st grade Math we used the strategies making a ten, adding doubles, and using known facts to help us add. In Reading we identified initial and final ch and encoded ch words. We associated tch with /ch/ words.
In 2nd grade math we used a tens fact to subtract, added three numbers, reviewed and took a test on addition and subtraction facts and strategies. In Reading class, we read sh, ch, and tch words and reviewed spelling patterns for those words. We also reviewed pronouns.
In 3rd grade math we represented multiplication facts by using a variety of approaches, such as repeated addition, equal-sized groups, arrays, area models, equal jumps on a number line, and skip counting. In Reading we are reading the novel “How to Be Cool in the Third Grade” by Betsy Duffey.
In Religion we heard how the wise men showed their love for Jesus by looking for him, worshipping him, and giving him gifts. God uses his Word to lead us to our Savior. We show our love for Jesus by learning God’s Word, worshipping him, and giving him gifts. We also heard how King Herod tried to kill Jesus. God wants all people to believe in him, but many refuse. We pray that the Holy Spirit will keep our faith in Jesus strong.
