It's flower garden week. We are learning what makes a plant grow and identifying the different parts of the plant. We are also focusing on the letter Qq, diamond, and the number 10. Our bible story is Jesus Prays in the Garden. Memory treasure is "Forgive us our sins" Luke 11:4.
On Monday we worked on our phonics page and learned how to play "duck, duck, gray duck".
On Tuesday we worked on our spring poster. We talked about all the different things we see in the springtime and how it is different in the wintertime. For our STEM project on Tuesday, we planted grass seed. We will be watering it every day and watching it grow.
On Wednesday our name is activity. We are spelling our name out with flowers and counting how many letters are in our name. We also will be panting with flowers and making our own flower masterpiece.
Thursday, we will be practicing writing the letter Qq in sand. We also will be using markers and water to color our bible story sheet.
On Friday we will be practicing our play with the big kids for most of the morning. If there is time in our day we will do our journal page.
K-1st: Mrs. Eckstrand
This week our Jesus Story is "Jesus visits Mary and Martha”. We are skipping back before Jesus died, to catch some stories we didn't get to. We learned that although earthly jobs and concerns are important, there's nothing more important than listening and learning God's word. Luke 11:28 "Blessed are those who hear the Word of God and keep it” and Luke 10: 42 "But one this is needed” are the memory treasures this week.
In Math, Kindergarten is working their way through money. They are learning what each coin looks like and how much each is worth. 1st grade is comparing numbers. They are learning the symbols for greater than, less than, and equal.
In Reading, Kindergarten is learning that without a "Supernoodle" fun activities can be noisy and not a lot of fun. 1st grade is moving on to contractions and extra adventures in their Superkid readers.
In Science we explored the Ocean habitat.
We're on the stage and full swing ready for Sunday. Come enjoy the Auction and Entertainment by the PK-8 grades.
2-4th: Mrs. Ungemach
This week in Word of God we are learning about how David sinned, but how God showed love for David by showing him his sin. Even though he still had to face the consequences for his sins, David repented and received God's forgiveness and blessing.

2nd grade is learning how to subtract 3-digit numbers.
4th grade is learning how to convert mixed numbers to improper fractions, and vice versa, and how to add/subtract mixed numbers.
In Social Studies we continue to study the American Revolution. The students will learn about more battles, the article "Common Sense", and will brainstorm what common sense meant for the patriots vs. loyalists.
