WELCOME TO OUR NEWSLETTER and WELCOME BACK STUDENTS!
VOLLEYBALL & SOCCER:
Practice starts this week Thursday, September 1st from 3:15-5:00. Volleyball is practicing at the Fairgrounds and soccer at the school. Please wear appropriate clothing for physical activity.
Soccer please bring:
Athletic clothes
Shin guards
High socks to cover shin guards – for games
Cleats can be worn (no metal spikes)
Water bottle
Volleyball please bring:
Athletic clothes
Knee pads
Gym shoes
Black shorts – for games
Water bottle
Parents: If you are able to chauffer students to practice or any of the games, please go to the link below. Check Sign-up for any days that you are available and for the quantity please put how many players you can take in your vehicle. We have about 20 girls so we will need up to 7 vehicles for each practice/game.
If we are short drivers on a given day you will be getting emails from me to see if there is anyone available that could help out.
NO SCHOOL:
We do not have school on Friday, September 2nd and Monday, September 5th for Labor Day weekend.
Please remember that if there is no school there is no Latchkey as this is a before and after school program only.
FALL MUMS FUNDRAISER (GERTENS):
Our first fundraiser of the new school year is underway. This closes tomorrow, September 1st! Please share via facebook or email with any family or friends that might be interested in buying fall flowers. Any money we raise goes to PTF and helps fund school supplies, field trips, and can go towards our new school. Plus the flowers look amazing! Delivery is scheduled for September 16th.

MISSIONS
Our missions this year is Lutheran Military Support Group which is a national, non-profit, lay led organization that was formed to raise funds ad award grants for sharing Christian fellowship and support with military men and women and their loved ones. LMSG is made up of more than 350 congregations and many individuals who are members of the ELS and WELS synods. Formed by veterans in 2015, LMSG has approved grants that contributed thousands of dollars toward local congregations to support and thank military men, women and their families.
Any money brought in for Chapel Missions on Fridays will go to this organization.
PTF MEETING:
Our next PTF meeting is September 12th at 6:30. All are welcome to attend!
For those that are new to PTF we are a group of Parents, Teachers, and Friends of Immanuel Lutheran School and Children of Grace Preschool. PTF coordinates fundraising opportunities, social events, and support for the school and teachers. PTF meets monthly on the second Monday of the month at 6:30 PM at the school. Everyone is encouraged to attend and support the school.
PICTURE DAY
Is right around the corner, Friday September 16th. Get those haircuts and outfits!
Preschool Parents: if you do not have your child signed up to come this Friday you can either bring your child between 9:30-10:00 just for pictures or please let Mrs. Eckstrand know as soon as possible if you would like to add this day to your child’s preschool calendar.
BUILDING FAITH FOUNDATIONS - New School Building:
The new building project is a go!!! The plan is to break ground spring 2023 and if all goes as planned to start the 2023-2024 school year in the new building.

PARENT DRIVE DAYS:
We have several of these this school year as the public school is taking more professional development days. Our first one is Friday, September 23rd. There will be no bussing this day so please plan accordingly.
