Newsletter 5-25-2022

Since this is the last week of school, we won't have a normal newsletter but just some reminders of what is coming up over the summer. Please keep an eye out for our summer mailer which will include the school calendar, supply list, and calendar for preschool families. As well as email regarding Back to School Night and Family Night/New Family Orientation.


AWARDS, GRADUATION, & CLOSING SERVICE

Is tonight starting at 6:30 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Cake following the service to celebrate all our graduates this year!

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL - 1:00 DISMISSAL

Tomorrow Thursday, May 26th the School Board is supplying lunch (hot dogs, burgers, chips)! Dismissal is at 1:00 but children can stay and have a long recess till 3:00 (bussing & Latchkey still available). Please have your child bring extra bags to bring all their school supplies home.

PRESCHOOL/KINDERGARTEN:

Bean plants are sprouting and need to be taken home to plant. Each child has several so we are asking that a parent please pick them up either today after school, at the awards ceremony tonight, or tomorrow since it is the last day of school.

1st - 3rd GRADE:

4th quarter report cards will be in your child's assignment notebook. Summer Reading Programs have been sent home, it is optional, but encouraged to keep your kids reading over the summer!

REGISTRATION FOLDERS:

If you haven't already, please return your blue registration folders to school as soon as possible. Please look them over carefully and note any changes to information. The colored sheets are from the state, if you choose Yes to requesting services then we get funding from the state, this is optional.

YEARBOOKS:

Orange order forms have been sent home last week. PTF will supply each school family with 1 yearbook at no cost, if you'd like additional please return the order form with the quantity noted and $10/yearbook. (Checks made out to Immanuel PTF)

CASH WISE BRAT STAND - Fundraiser:

Our annual fundraiser will take place June 23rd, 24th, and 25th. This is a great fundraiser for our school and helps promote our school to the community. We need volunteers to sign-up to help with grilling, handling food, and taking money. MUSTANG SPORTS CAMP:

For grades K-5 June 27th-30th from 5:30-7:00 we will be offering basketball, soccer, flag football, & volleyball - flyer is attached. It is $35 to participate and you can sign up on the website - Sports Camp | Hutchinsonlutheran (hutchinsonlutheranschool.com)

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL:

Hutchinson - Immanuel Lutheran Church + Grace Lutheran Church VBS dates are July 11th - 15th Litchfield - St. Paul's Lutheran Chruch VBS dates are May 31st - June 3rd Cedar Mills - St. John's Lutheran Church VBS dates are June 12th - 16th

PTF MEETING:

Our next PTF meeting is Monday, June 13th at 6:30. All are welcome to attend! We will be discussing the Cash Wise Brat Stand fundraiser, Fall Mum fundraiser, and New Family Mentors/Orientation.

BUILDING FAITH FOUNDATIONS - New School Building: More is needed to help fund a whole new building where our children and school can continue to grow. Below is a link to our Thrivent page where you, family, alumni, and friends can donate to our building fund. Just click on the link, then push the Make Personal Donation button. Fill out the form and submit your payment. It is that easy and you will have the satisfaction of supporting our school and your children's continued faith-based education. Feel free to forward this to anyone you think may have an interest in helping. We also have this information on our website (www.hutchinsonlutheranschool.com) under Building Project with a Donation button that leads you to the same Thrivent page. For traditional check donations envelopes can be provided if you know someone that would rather go that route than online. From June 6th through August 19th, the Hutchinson Public Library will have reading challenges, outdoor storytime, take-home activities, prizes, and more! EBooks: Ebooks are convenient, easily accessible and are a different way to engage children in reading during summer. FUTURE CHARGERS VOLLEYBALL:

We are excited to announce summer volleyball sessions for Future Chargers. If you have girls in current grades 5-7 interested in volleyball, we are inviting them to our summer sessions - pdf attached.
