Two conference periods are scheduled each year: one in the Fall after the first quarter (November 3-7th), and one in the Spring after the third quarter. At least one parent is expected to come to these meetings to discuss the progress of their child.

Our Jesus story is Samson Strong. Memory Treasure: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me Philippians 4:13
Kindergarten: Mrs. Eckstrand
This week our Bible lesson was Joseph forgives his brothers. We learned that Joseph's brothers came to Egypt to get grain in the 7 bad years. Joseph was in charge and was kind to his brothers. Joseph saw that his brothers were sorry for what they did to him many years ago. Joseph forgave his brothers, and moved his whole family to Egypt where they could eat and be safe. Jacob was so happy Joseph was alive! Ephesians 4:32 Instead, be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as in Christ, God forgave you.
In Math, we are ready to take our chapter 2 test, and move on to making all the numbers from 6-10.
In Reading, we are using our imaginations to go on Adventures with Adam.../a/ /a/ Adam.
In writing we will be finishing our names soon and moving on to days of the week.
In Geography, we have learned the 4 cardinal directions, and put them on a compass rose.
Mrs. Margraf is helping us make our play props. These carrots are big!
1-2nd: Mrs. Markgraf
We are already in the second quarter of the school year. I am blown away by how much the students have grown in their academics and their knowledge of the Lord.
The first graders are focusing on final blends and irregular plural nouns in reading. Second graders are reviewing multiple long and short vowel spellings. Both groups are thinking about subtraction in math, with the second graders working through problems with regrouping.
Students may be coming home with more homework "fixes" as we tackle these more challenging concepts and need support from home.
In Word of God, we are seeing how God used all of the bad things that happened to Joseph for the good of his people. In social studies we've been learning about Martin Luther and the Reformation.
I am looking forward to meeting with families at conferences next week! God's blessings!
3-5th: Mrs. Horn
Parents, Students, Families, and Friends,
This week in Christ Light, we are learning about the story of Joseph and how he became ruler in Egypt. We are reminded that in all high and low points in our life God is always with us.
In Math, 3rd grade is finishing up the chapter on addition and subtraction and taking a test. 4th is working on multiplication. 5th is starting a chapter on algebraic expressions.
In Language Arts, the 3rd and 4th graders are reading through some short stories and discussing facts and opinions. 5th is working on grammar.
In Social Studies, we are studying the Midwest region of the US
In Music, we are starting to run through our entire musical from start to finish!
Happy Reformation! God's blessings!
CALL for 3-5th grade teacher:
A call meeting was held on Sunday, October 26th and the decision was made to extend a call to Ms. Keirnan Handy for the 2026/2027 school year for grades 3-5. She currently is serving at Peace Lutheran School in Sun Prairie, WI. Please keep her in your prayers as she deliberates where best to serve.
For those that are not aware, Mrs. Horn was only assigned to teach here for this school year. If you are new to the WELS teacher system a call is the process by which we offer a job position to a qualified candidate, they then consider if that position would be the best fit for their skills and talents and based on that decide to accept or return (decline) the position.
6-8th: Mr. Holz
